What to Wear to a Wedding

Spring is in the air and wedding season has begun. When invited to a wedding, a fun part is getting the chance to dress up, but sometimes it can be difficult to figure something out to wear. You have to think about the time of day, wedding style, and of course the Bride. Today we are going to go over some wedding outfit rules on what not to wear and easy outfit ideas on what to wear.
White Is Never An Option:
We all know that ONLY the bride is to wear white. Even something like a floral dress that has white as the base color is a no, just to play it safe. Some even like for their guest to dress in colors of their wedding, so this would be a great alternative.

When Does It Start?
There is a rule that if the wedding starts at 5:00pm or after, it is formal attire. In this case wear a longer slip dress and heels or any cocktail dress. Not into dresses, a pair of slacks and a nice blouse and heels is another great option. If it is before 5:00, you can wear something a little more casual. For instance, something you would wear to a brunch or your Sunday best. There are always exceptions to the rule. For instants, an outdoor wedding after 5:00pm and the Groom and Groomsmen are wearing jeans.
Dress Or Jumpsuit:
If you are someone who is not big into dresses, a jumpsuit or romper will be perfect. Pair it with heels and jewelry to make it dressier. Having a classy jumpsuit in your closet is perfect for last minute formal events.

Don't Out-Do The Bride:
Another thing is that you never want to outdo the bride. Showing up all diamonded-out or risqué will draw attention away from the bride and onto you. Always remember that it is their day and not your own. This goes for the rehearsal dinner as well.
All in all, going with an outfit that is modest and classy will always keep you in the clear. We hope that today's blog helped you out! Remember to join our email list to get notified for every post, and leave a comment below! We would love to know what your do's and don't for weddings.
